1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water, boiling
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Blend sugar, cocoa, flour and salt. Add butter with boiling water and stir well. Cook in heavy enameled pan or double boiler until thick, stirring constantly. Remove; cool slightly and add vanilla. Serve hot.
