SAUERKRAUT SOUP 
4 c. water
3 oz. dried mushrooms
1 lg. can sauerkraut
1 c. quick rice

Combine ingredients and boil slowly for 1 hour then take 1 tablespoon butter; add flour to thicken and 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion; heat until golden brown. Add to above mixture. Salt and pepper to taste.
