LIME PICKLES 
1 c. lime to 1 gallon of water
6 c. sugar to 1 qt. of vinegar
1 tbsp. salt
Spices to salt taste
Cucumbers

Soak whole cucumbers 1 hour in clear cool water. Slice and put in jar or other container (not metal). Soak in lime water 24 hours. Remove from lime water and wash 3 or 4 times. Let set in ice water for 3 hours. Drain. Make vinegar and sugar mixture. Add salt and spices to taste.

Pour over pickles. Let set overnight. Boil hard for 30 minutes. Let simmer while filling jars. Seal lids.
