SOUTHWEST HAM & CHEESE | |
Here's a novel way to serve the usual ham and cheese favorite -- in a tortilla sandwich. Makes 12 appetizers. 6 thin slices fully cooked smoked ham 6 flour tortillas (7 inches in diameter) 3 slices Muenster or mild Cheddar cheese 6 tbsp. oil Place 1 slice ham on each of 3 tortillas. Top each with cheese, another slice ham and a tortilla. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until hot. Cook 1 sandwich in oil, turning once, until golden brown and cheese is melted, about 3 minutes. Cut into 4 wedges. Repeat with remaining oil and sandwiches. |
