CORN MEAL MUSH 
1 c. cold water
1 c. corn meal
3 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt

Mix cold water with cornmeal. Stir in 3 cups boiling water and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Pour into greased bread pan and set in refrigerator overnight. Next morning, remove from pan and slice. Dip each slice into flour and fry in greased pan until brown. Then turn and brown other side. Serve with syrup, fruit, jam or jelly. This is also called Polenta.
