PLANTATION COFFEE PUNCH 
1/3 c. instant coffee, dissolved in 1/2 c. boiling water
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
5 c. milk
2 c. vanilla ice cream
1 c. whipping cream, whipped

Mix the dissolved instant coffee with sugar, vanilla and milk; refrigerate. (This may be made the day before using). Before serving, chill punch bowl with crushed ice; drain and dry thoroughly. Pour in coffee mixture, spoon in hunks of ice cream. If using block ice cream, cut into thin slices. Add blobs of whipped cream. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate. Yield: 2 quarts. (15 punch cups).
