CHERRY SQUARES 
1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can cherry pie filling

Mix all ingredients except for pie filling. Put 1/2 dough in bottom of cake pan. Then layer on pie filling. Spread remaining dough on top.

Bake 350°F for 45 minutes.
