TURNIP SLAW 
1/4 c. chopped sweet red pepper
1/4 c. thinly sliced green onions
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 c. shredded peeled turnips

In a bowl, combine all ingredients except turnips. Pour over turnips and toss to coat. Refrigerate several hours for flavors to blend. Yield: 4 servings.
