SWISS STEAK 
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Generous dash of pepper
1 1/2 lbs. round steak (about 3/4 inch thick)
2 tbsp. shortening
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's vegetable soup
1/2 soup can water
1 c. sliced onions

Mix flour, seasoning; pound into steak with meat hammer or edge of heavy saucer. In large skillet, brown steak in shortening; pour fat off. Add rest of ingredients. Cover, simmer 1 hour 15 minutes or until tender. Stir now and then. Makes 4 servings.
