MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
1 c. cornmeal
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
2 tbsp. oil
1 chopped onion
2 chopped peppers (jalapeno or green chilies)
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 can cream style corn
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. grated cheese

Combine dry ingredients. Add milk and eggs. Stir in corn and oil. Brown meat and onion. Add peppers. Pour 1/2 batter into well greased pan. Top with meat and cheese. Top with remaining batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
