BARBECUED BEEF SKEWERS 
1 1/2 to 2 lb. flank steak
1 c. finely chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 c. water
3 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. peanut butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
Dash hot pepper sauce

Cut steak across grain into 1/4 thick slices. Saute onion and garlic in oil. Stir in remaining ingredients and cook until slightly thickened. Thread meat in skewers; brush with sauce. Place skewers on grill rack. Cook 10 minutes; basting with sauce.
