1 German chocolate cake mix
1 pkg. caramels
1 stick butter
1/3 c. milk
1 pkg. chocolate chips
3/4 c. walnuts

Mix cake mix as directed on package. Pour 1/2 of mix into 9"x13" pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt together caramel, butter and milk; pour over baked cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Pour rest of cake mix on top. Bake 20 minutes at 250 degrees. Increase temperature to 350 degrees for 10 more minutes.
