MAMMA HAZEL'S HERSHEY CAKE | |
1 c. Hershey syrup 8 (1.02 oz.) Hershey bars 1 c. butter 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 1/2 c. cake flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. buttermilk Melt chocolate syrup and candy bars. Set aside to cool. Cream butter, sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add melted chocolate and vanilla. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together 4 times. Add this mixture to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees until cake pulls away from pan, about 1 1/2 hours. Cool 15 minutes in pan before removing form pan. |
