SPICED PECANS 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. whipping cream
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of cinnamon
2 tsp. orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1 1/2 c. pecan halves

Combine first 4 ingredients in a large saucepan. Stir well. Place over medium heat, stirring constantly, and cook to soft ball stage. Stir in orange juice and rind. Remove from heat. Add pecans and stir until coated. Spread on waxed paper. Separate pieces with a spoon. Let cool. Serves 12.
