ORIENTAL BEEF AND SNOW PEAS 
1 lb. boneless round steak
5 tbsp. soy sauce, divided
1 tbsp. sherry
4 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. vegetable oil, divided
1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen snow peas
1 clove garlic, crushed
3/4 tsp. sugar
Hot cooked rice

Partially freeze meat; cut into slices 1/4 inch thick and 2 inches long.

Combine 1 tablespoon soy sauce, sherry and cornstarch; stir vigorously until cornstarch is dissolved. Coat beef with soy sauce mixture.

Heat 6 tablespoons oil over high heat in a wok or skillet. Add meat, and stir-fry until meat is browned. Remove meat, and set aside.
