SWEET AND SPICY HAM | |
1 (4 to 5 pounds) cooked lean boneless ham 2 cups pineapple juice 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 tsp. ground cloves Preheat the oven to 350°F. Arrange the ham in a shallow baking pan. Score the top in a diamond pattern. Combine the pineapple juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in a 2- quart heavy saucepan and mix well. Bring to a simmer. Simmer for 6 to 8 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Brush the pineapple sauce over the ham. Bake for 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours or until a meat thermometer registers 130°F, basting frequently with the pineapple sauces. Reheat any remaining sauce and serve with ham. Makes 12 servings. |
