GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE 
2 cans (16 oz.) French cut green beans, drained
1 med. onion, cut in rings and separated
8 strips of bacon
1/2 c. slivered almonds
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. vinegar

Place drained beans in 1 1/2 qt casserole dish. Place separated onion rings over beans. Fry bacon strips and save drippings. Cut strips in halves or quarters and place over onion rings. Sprinkle almonds over bacon. Add sugar and vinegar to bacon drippings and heat. Pour over casserole and marinate several hours or overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
