SOUTH DAKOTA COMPANY SALAD 
1 slightly beaten egg
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. unsweetened pineapple juice
1 pkg. Knox gelatin
1/4 c. tap water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pineapple, drained
1 c. Delmonte fruit cocktail, drained
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 c. cream, whipped

Mix egg, sugar, milk and pineapple juice together. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until it comes to a full boil. Remove from heat and set aside. Soften Knox gelatin in the tap water and vanilla, about 3 minutes. Pour into hot mixture and stir until dissolved. Cool until SLIGHTLY set. Add the fruits and fold in whipped cream. Chill at least 2 hours before serving.
