MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 1/3 c. dark baking molasses
2/3 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. melted shortening
2/3 c. hot water
5 c. flour
1 1/3 tsp. ginger
1/3 tsp. cinnamon
A little salt
1 1/3 tsp. baking soda

Mix all together and let stand for half an hour. If too thin to roll, add more flour or drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
