CHRISTMAS CASSEROLE 
2 pkgs. frozen peas
1 pkg. frozen asparagus
1/4 c. pimento, chopped
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. buttered crumbs
1 jar whole pimentos

Cook vegetables according to directions on package. Combine in mixing bowl. Add the 1/4 cup pimento. Mix flour with the butter. Add the milk. Cook over low heat until thickened. Add the sauce to the vegetables. Place in baking casserole. Cover with buttered crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes until just bubbly. Do not over bake or bread crumbs will be dry. After removing from oven, garnish by cutting whole pimentos to form a poinsettia. Place a stuffed green olive in the center of flower, a strip of green pepper may be used for a stem.
