HEARTY BEEF STEW 
2 lb. beef stew meat, cut in 1" cubes
5 carrots, sliced
1 lg. onion, diced
3 stalks celery, sliced
28 oz. can tomatoes
1/2 c. quick cooking tapioca
2 bay leaves
Salt & pepper to taste

Trim fat from meat. Put all ingredients in crock pot. Mix thoroughly. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours at high for 5-6 hours. 3 1/2 quart crock pot.
