SHOYU CHICKEN 
6 chicken thighs or breasts, skin removed
2 tbsp. corn oil
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. ginger or minced fresh ginger
Garlic powder or minced fresh garlic to taste
1/4 c. minced onion

Line baking dish with aluminum foil. Remove skin from chicken and place in dish. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Bake at 325 degrees uncovered, turning and basting every 15 minutes. Serve with rice.
