DUTCH APPLE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. sugar
Dash of salt

FILLING:

Apples, peeled and sliced
2 tbsp. minute tapioca
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Crust/Crumbs: With fork, blend all ingredients to make crumbs. Save 1 cup for topping. Press remaining into a push-out layer cake pan (sides and bottom). Add filling. Bake 20 minutes. Add crumbs - bake 20 minutes more. Cool. Serve with whipped topping or ice cream.

Note: Can also use blueberries or peaches.
