CLOUD BISCUITS 
2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. butter-flavored Crisco
2/3 c. milk
1 egg
1 tbsp. melted butter

Combine flour and sugar. Mix well. Cut in shortening with pastry cutter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Combine egg and milk. Add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Knead on floured board for 3 or 4 minutes. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut in 2 1/2 inch circles. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes in 425 degree oven. Brush with melted butter.
