3 tbsp. sesame seeds 1/2 c. slivered almonds 1/2 head cabbage, shredded (4 c.) 3 oz. Ramen noodles, uncooked 3-4 green onions, sliced 3 tbsp. vinegar 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. oil (cut back for calories) 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper Flavor pkg. from noodles Toast seeds and almonds at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Toss cabbage, green onions, noodles and nuts. Mix remaining ingredients. Pour over salad and mix just before serving. Delicious. Different. We received a similar recipe from an anonymous contributor which called for 4 cups cabbage, 3 tablespoons seeds and 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt. |
