SNICKERDOODLES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 400 degrees. In large bowl, combine sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs; mix well. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; mix well. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Combine the 2 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon; roll balls into sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove and cool on rack. 48 cookies.
