STRAWBERRY MERINGUE PIE 
6 egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. vinegar
3 c. fresh strawberries, sweetened
1 c. whipping cream or Cool Whip

Beat egg whites with salt added. Gradually add 1 cup sugar and the vanilla. Continue beating and alternate 1 cup more of sugar with vinegar. Mound into 2 greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 275 degrees for 30 minutes and then 300 degrees for 30 more minutes.

Allow meringue to cool. Ice with 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip and spread with crushed and sweetened strawberries.
