COCONUT POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 c. sweet milk
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 c. flake coconut

Cream butter and sugar 10 minutes on High. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk alternately with flour. Add flavoring, fold in coconut. Cook 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325 degrees.

SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1/4 c. white corn syrup

Beat together 5 minutes. Pour over cake while hot.
