VEAL SUPREME CASSEROLE | |
1 1/2 lb. veal steak, cubed 2 tbsp. butter 1 sm. onion 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 sm. can mushrooms 1 1/2 c. sour cream 1 green pepper, diced 1 c. celery, diced 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Buttered bread crumbs 8 or 12 oz. pkg. noodles Brown onion and celery in butter, remove and add veal cubes and brown; add a small amount of water, simmer until tender - about 1 hour. Add soup, mushrooms, sour cream, pepper, and onion-celery mixture. Boil noodles in salted water, drain and put alternately in casserole. Top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake 35-45 minutes at 375 degrees. |
