1/3 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour, baking powder and salt. In another mixing bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients. Add to dry ingredients and mix well. Then bake in a 9 x 13 inch cake pan or dish at 370 degrees for 25 minutes.
