ROLLED SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3 tbsp. cream or milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg, cream and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt until well mixed. Roll out 1/3 at a time on floured surface to 1/8" thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Place 1" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 5 to 8 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: about 72 cookies.
