1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter (or less 2 tbsp.)
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. Bakewell or baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour, approx., easy to handle

Dust board with flour and roll, not too thin up to 1/2 inch. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Check like a cake. Do not wait until top gets brown (will turn hard). Good plain or mix chocolate bits, raisins, etc.
