ROLLED SUGAR COOKIES | |
2 1/2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 c. lard 1/2 c. milk 4 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Cream lard, add sugar gradually and cream well. Add well beaten eggs, vanilla and liquid. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix soft, using as little flour as possible. Chill, roll out. Sprinkle with sugar, roll lightly and cut into shapes desired. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. For best results, (melt in your mouth) use lard. Keep dough mixture as soft as possible, roll to 1/4 inch. |
