FRENCH ONION SOUP 
3 lg. onions, thinly sliced
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. instant beef bouillon or 6 bouillon cubes
4 c. hot water
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
4 slices toasted French bread
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese

In large skillet, cook onions in butter until lightly browned. In crock pot or slow cooking pot, combine browned onions in butter with bouillon, water, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Top each bowl with toasted French bread sprinkled with cheese. Makes 4 servings. Recipe may be doubled.
