SWEET POTATO CAKE 
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 c. nuts
1 (2 oz.) bottle maraschino cherries, drained
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. cooked mashed sweet potatoes
1 tbsp. peanut butter

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, milk, and dry ingredients and mix well. This makes a very stiff dough. Spoon into a greased loaf pan or tub epan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
