JEWISH APPLE CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 4 eggs 3 c. flour 1 c. oil 3 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. either orange or lemon juice, overflowing 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla Beat until smooth. Pare about 5 apples and slice. Pour half the batter in round tube pan, stick half the apples upright in batter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon generously. Add rest of batter and apples and top again with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 hours. |
