CRISP PICKLE SLICES 
4 qts. sliced cucumbers
6 med. white onions, sliced
2 green peppers, chopped
1/3 c. salt
1 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard seed
3 c. vinegar
4 1/3 c. sugar

Do not peel cucumbers; slice thin. Add onions, peppers and salt. Cover with cracked ice and mix thoroughly. Let stand 3 hours; drain. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over cucumber mixture. Heat just to boiling. Seal in hot sterilized jars.
