CHEF'S SALAD 
1/2 head of lettuce
4 carrots
1 c. chick peas (from can)
1 c. broccoli flowerettes
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 lb. sliced turkey
1/4 lb. sliced Genoa salami
black olives (optional)
bacon bits (optional)
croutons (optional)

Wash the lettuce leaves and tear into bite-size pieces. Place in large bowl. Peel four carrots and cut into bite-size pieces. Add to bowl. Rinse the chick peas in water thoroughly. Add to bowl. Cut broccoli into flowerettes. Wash and add to bowl. Before you go on, make sure there is no extra water in the bowl. Cut the turkey and salami (other cooked meats may be substituted) into bite size pieces and add to bowl. Mix the salad. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese across the top. Black olives, bacon bits, croutons, or other salad bar favorites can be added. Top with favorite dressing. Serves 4.
