1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. coconut
2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
5 tbsp. butter
dash of salt
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
red sugar granules

Melt butter in a skillet. Add eggs, coconut, salt and dates. Cook and stir over medium low heat until mixture is thick and bubbles, 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in cereal, nuts and vanilla. Shape into Strawberry shapes. Roll in red sugar. Mix up a little butter icing tinted green to make a little leaf and stem. Very pretty and tasty. Well worth the effort.
