RAISIN VANILLA COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. water

Simmer for 5 minutes. Cool. Drain. 1 1/2 c. sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well. Add vanilla, then dry ingredients. Fold in raisins. Drop by teaspoons into dish of sugar. Press into balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
