SPANISH NOODLES 
1/2 lb. ground beef
2 med. onions, chopped
3 tbsp. shortening
1 c. noodles
1 c. peas
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. cayenne (I use 1/8 tsp.)
1 1/2 c. condensed tomato soup
3/4 c. butter bread crumbs or 3/4 c. grated cheese

Cook noodles in 1 quart of boiling water, salted, for 10 minutes or until tender. Drain, rinse with hot water. Brown meat and cook onions in melted shortening. Add noodles, peas and seasoning.

Place 1/2 mixture in 2 quart casserole dish and 1/2 tomato soup. Repeat. Cover with crumbs or cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serves 6.
