STREUSEL MIXTURE:

1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. melted butter

Combine and let stand.

COFFEE CAKE:

1 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine and sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Cut shortening into cake mixture. Combine and add remaining ingredients. Beat just enough to mix well. Pour into 6"x10" baking pan. Top with streusel mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
