JULIANNA'S SPECTACULAR MACARONI
AND CHEESE
 
2 cups macaroni
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
2 cups half and half, warmed
1 8 oz. bag shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Boil macaroni on medium-high for 7 minutes. Drain.

Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in macaroni.

Warm the half and half for 1 minute in microwave. Pour warmed half and half into pot. Stir in flour and cheese, and salt, to taste.

Enjoy

Half and Half is half milk and half cream.

So easy to make and the results are great! I didn't have the sharp cheddar and substituted mild cheddar. To add the extra zip, I added three slices of velveeta cheese slices. The sauce was creamy and had a smooth taste. I knew this was a keeper when my granddaughter commented that it was the best mac and cheese ever!

great recipe. I added 2 beaten eggs instead of the flour. Velveeta cheese and cracker barrel sharp cheddar. Baked at 350°F.
