TO PRESERVE SMOKED SALMON 
Slice smoked salmon in thin slices. Arrange in layers in a Mason jar. Add 1/2 bay leaf. Add a dozen peppercorns. Cover with olive oil. Close jar tightly. Place in coldest part of the refrigerator. Do not freeze. It will keep at least 6 years.

Thank you for this suggestion. I am in the process of purchasing a stovetop smoker just because I love smoked salmon so, so much. I will definitely give this a try as I prefer to make things in quantity but had no idea how to preserve.
