LAYERED STRAWBERRY SALAD | |
1 c. water 1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin 1 (16 oz.) pkg. of frozen strawberries 1 lb. 4 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained 3 lbs. bananas, mashed 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts 2 c. sour cream Heat water to boiling. May use drained pineapple juice for part of water. Add gelatin, stir until dissolved. Pour in large bowl. Add strawberries, pineapple, bananas and nuts. Pour half of mixture into 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish and chill until firm. Keep rest of mixture at room temperature. Spread set gelatin with sour cream. Pour rest of gelatin mixture on top and chill until set. |
