PLUM CAKE 
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. milk
2 lb. very ripe prune plums (fresh) pitted & quartered

TOPPING:

1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and milk; mix thoroughly. Add flour and baking powder. Pour cake mix in pan, lay quartered plums on top of cake mix.

Mix melted butter, sugar and cinnamon. Spoon on top of cake. Bake 45 minutes.
