GRANDMA'S COLE SLAW 
1/2 head cabbage
2 stalks celery
1 sliced green pepper
1/2 med. onion
1-2 carrots
1/4 c. vinegar
1/8 c. water
1 tbsp. sugar
Pinch salt
2 tbsp. mayonnaise

In large bowl grate or cut very fine cabbage, dice celery and pepper. Grate in onion and carrots.

Mix together vinegar and water, add to above mixture. Add sugar and salt. Mix all together very well. Let stand for about 15 minutes. Add mayonnaise, use more if desired. Mix again. Chill and serve.
