STRUDEL
DOUGH:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. Wesson oil
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. cold water

FILLING:

1 box seedless raisins
1 lb. walnuts chopped fine
1 jar strawberry jam
Juice of 1 lemon
2 lg. apples, remove skin (should be on the tart side)
1 lg. tbsp. cinnamon

Sift together first 3 ingredients. Add oil, cold water and egg to make a smooth mixture for dough. Knead dough. Roll out dough as thin as possible. It should look like a large pizza--very, very thin.

Mix raisins with lemon juice and set aside. Oil dough that has been rolled out and sprinkle with a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and some of the cinnamon. Dot the dough all over with the jam. Grate the apples over the whole thing and sprinkle with the chopped nuts.

Place raisins along the edge in a thin line. Roll up the dough from both ends, like a jelly roll, being very careful not to split it. Place on baking sheet. Mark off sections in about 1-inch slices. Pat top of strudel with oil and sprinkle with more of the sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Bake at 400 degrees about 40 minutes or until brown. Remove and while still hot finish cutting pieces. (Some tips, I sometimes roll the dough out on floured foil so it won't stick and then I roll it up and actually bake it on the foil so it won't fall apart.) Good luck! Yield at least 20 pieces.
