MARK'S OATMEAL CHIP COOKIES 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. regular oatmeal
1 c. chopped almonds, walnuts or pecans
1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine all ingredients except oatmeal, almonds and chocolate chips in large bowl. Blend well at low speed. Stir in remaining ingredients; mix thoroughly. Chill dough. Shape into balls, using a rounded teaspoon for each. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool. About 96 cookies.
