GRANDMA'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. Crisco 3/4 c. brown sugar 3/4 c. white sugar 2 eggs 1 tbsp. hot water 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 2 c. oatmeal 6 oz. chocolate chips 1 c. chopped walnuts Cream the butter, shortening and sugars together than add eggs, water and vanilla and mix well. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together and add to dough, mixing in slowly. Combine oatmeal, chocolate chips and walnuts in a bowl and add to the dough, mixing in thoroughly. Shape with a teaspoon measuring spoon and drop onto a greased cookie sheet baking at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. NOTE: Dough may be made the day before and refrigerated. |
